We have so many things to be thankful for at HomeTown Bank. We are so fortunate to have a home in such a wonderful community and it is our sincere honor to be able to support that community throughout the year. We are also very fortunate to have an amazing team of employees. We wanted to know what they were most thankful for this season because what is important to them, is important to us. So, we asked a few of our team members and here’s what they said.
I am thankful for my salvation and a God that loves me with all of my flaws! I’m thankful for all of my beautiful family and friends that have blessed my life abundantly. A husband that calls me the love of his life and he is mine. My beautiful, silly grandchildren that call me ‘Granna”! I’m thankful for the soldiers and their families that sacrifice for our freedom. I’m grateful for my Hometown Bank family and the blessing it is to work, play, and pray with them. And the customers that I get the pleasure of helping everyday that have become some of my greatest friends ever.

When God gives any man wealth and possessions, and enables him to enjoy them, to accept his lot and be happy in his work-this is a gift of God. Ecclesiastes 5:19’ I am thankful that I have the ability to work and that I have a place that I can come to work each day that is a blessing to me and hopefully, we are a blessing to the people in our community.

I am so thankful for my life. I have the best friends and family.

I am most thankful for my parents. They gave me life, but also gave me a lifetime of influence. Everything that I am today is reflected by the things they instilled in me. They showed me a love for the Lord, unconditional love, discipline, accountability, a love for people, and a strong work ethic. I lost my dad in 1991 to cancer, my mom is 83 and has been battling breast cancer since 1992. She continues to inspire me today with her diligence and stamina to keep going and doing. I hope I can leave such a legacy for my own children.

I’m thankful for the gift of health and for the amazing things that your body can endure with hard work and dedication. I can’t even describe the feeling of crossing the finish line with a personal record after months of training. Running is most certainly a blessing, and I am very thankful that God gave me a passion for it.

I am most thankful for the many blessings I am reminded of on a daily basis; being able to wake up in my own bed in my own home with my family, working a job that I feel very fortunate to have, being able to attend church and worship with my family. I know, sometimes, I tend to lose sight of the more “simple” things in life. This time of year, especially, these things become most important and I have to remind myself of the shower of blessings I have in my life. God Bless!
